This set of boxes is a study in contrast. Three of the boxes are open and made from straight grained oak, while the lidded box has a jewel-like quality and is made of figured walnut. The rough interiors retain the tool marks of the bandsaw, contrasting the satin smooth exteriors. Its fun to play around with different configurations. Arranging the rectangle should be a simple little puzzle, but it is trickier than it seems.
